Day 01: Arrival Leh
On arrival at Leh airport meet our executive and transfer to pre booked hotel/Guest house for relax and acclimatisation. This is necessary for getting acclimatised at high altitude. Evening one can visit the color full market of Leh. Overnight in the hotel/guesthouse.
Day 02: Leh – Shey – Thiksey – Hemis
On this day you will go a sightseeing trip to some ancient monasteries in this area.
Shey Gompa is about 15 kms from Leh. It used to be the summer palace of the kings of Ladakh. There are lots of Stupas and Gompas built around the palace. Shey palace was built by Deldan Namgyal in the beginning of 17’Th century AD. Main attraction in Shey is the 12m Shakyamuni Buddha statue inside the Dresthang Gompa.
Thiksey Gompa, close to Shey is about 17 kms from Leh. The monastery is considered to be one of the most beautiful in Ladakh and belongs to the Gelukspa order.
Hemis, about 45 kms south of Leh it is one of the most famous and largest monastery in Ladakh. It belongs to the Drukpa order and was founded in the early 17’Th century. The setting is perfect with the monastery cradled in a lovely valley, surrounded by streams and fronted by long Mani walls. Overnight stay at the guest house.
Day 03: Leh – Khardung La – Nubra Valley (125 kms/5-6 hrs)
In the morning after breakfast drive to Nubra Valley. Cross the world highest motor able pass Khardung la (18,380.fts). Enter the beautiful valley famous for the ancient Caravan route to Central Asia and to places like Kashgar and Yarkand, the road was also known as the treaty road. Nubra literally means the valley of flowers. The double hump Bacterium Camel ride along in the sand dune. Over night at Guest House/Camp.
Day 04: Nubra Valley – Leh via Sumoor Gompa
After Breakfast drive back to Leh via Sumoor Gompa. Over night at Hotel in Ladakh
Day 05: Leh Monastery Tour
Full day of visit, after Breakfast drive visit Spituk Monastery, Kali Mata, Pather Sahib, Magnetic hill, Confluence of Zanskar – Indus river and Hall of fame. Over night Hotel.
Day 06: Leh – Pangong – Leh
Today morning after breakfast drive to Pangong Lake through Changla pass (5486 Mts.). While ascending Changla pass. Enjoy the beautiful panoramic view of the villages below the pass. After crossing the pass halt for picnic lunch at Tsoltak, the summer pastureland of the yaks. Arrive Durbuk and from there a short drive takes you to thee western shore of the Lake. Enjoy the landscape on the backdrop of the lake. This famous blue brackish Lake of Pangong is 5/6 Kms wide and over 144 Kms long with half of it running the other side of the “INDO CHIANA BORDER”. One rarely feels so close to nature and environment and the scenery is unforgettable. In the late afternoon drive back to Leh. Overnight at hotel Leh.
Day 07: Leh – Delhi
In the morning after breakfast transfer to Leh airport and from here catch a flight for Delhi.
